2.6.4 Heat Meters
Heat meters measure simultaneously the volume flow rate through a pipe system and the corresponding supply and return temperatures.
Based on these measurements, the heat consumption in this pipe system will be calculated in the calculator and shown by the display.Whereas mechanical measuring instruments were also used in former times, nowadays only electronic heat meters are used in practice.
The sensors used in heat meters usually have an electrical resistance of 100, 500 or 1000 Ω at a temperature of 0 C.
